Hand Box Investigation

Hand Box Investigation

Hand Box Investigation.

Another small sculpture from the Potency of Objects show at OBR Galley. A small wooden box I had found at an antiques and junk shop. It contains an old newspaper article of someone receiving an award and the thing that caught my eye was the hands in the photo. The two hands in the box I cast in solid pewter using silicon molds. The box is lined with old blue fabric and a gold tassels that can be pulled up to investigate the newspaper article underneath the cloth.

Interacting with the Hand Box.

Picture of the newspaper underneath the fabric....showing the hands that caught my air when I first looked at the box.

I LOVE it. Good photos too. Great that it is interactive. Is “investigation” newbie term, like “installation?” Your hands? yea!
